Washington-President Joe Biden announced Thursday that he has appointed Karine Jean-Pierre as the next White House spokesman.
Jean-Pierre is currently the Chief Deputy Press Secretary. From May 13th, she will resign from White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki.
“Carine will not only bring the experience, talent and integrity needed for this difficult task, but will continue to lead the way in communication about the work of the Byden Harris administration,” Biden said in a statement. rice field. “Jill and I have known and respected Carine for a long time. She will be a strong voice speaking for me and this administration.”
By assuming one of the most visible political roles in the country, Jean-Pierre breaks down multiple historic barriers and becomes both the first Black White House Press Secretary and the first openly gay.
Jean-Pierre, 44, is a veteran spokeswoman and graduate of the Biden 2020 presidential election and the Obama administration.
Prior to participating in Biden’s campaign, he was a political analyst at MSNBC and NBC, and Chief Marketing Officer of MoveOn.org, a progressive political nonprofit organization.
Jean-Pierre will be Biden’s top spokeswoman during difficult times for the president and his administration.
Republicans are currently backing to win a majority in both the House of Representatives and the Senate in the November midterm elections. Democrats expect the White House to do two things to help them defend the razor-thin majority.
So far, Biden’s presidency has proven that both of these tasks are extremely difficult for the White House’s communications office.

Nevertheless, Jean-Pierre still has big shoes to fill with the podium.
Saki has been a spokesman for Biden since day one, and her tenure is widely seen as a success.
Upon taking on the job, Saki quickly revived the long-standing tradition of everyday life with a camera press briefing. There, she kept her calm under tough questions and showed strong command of dozens of different topics.
Over the past year, Saki has become one of Biden’s closest aides.
“I would like to thank Jen for raising the bar, communicating directly and honestly with the American people, and maintaining her sense of humor,” Biden said.
After she leaves the White House, Pusaki is expected to join the cable news channel.
